Frequently Asked Questions

Does the scaler handle every unit?
Yes. The calculator scales any numeric amount regardless of unit (g, ml, tsp, tbsp, oz, cups, pcs). It doesn't convert between units; it just multiplies.
Can I use fractions?
Enter decimal numbers. For example, 1½ cups = 1.5. The calculator will output a decimal result which you can round as needed.
Are baking recipes safe to scale?
Baking is more sensitive than cooking. Scaling by 1.5× or 2× is usually fine; very large scaling (5× or more) can affect rising, baking time, and pan size. Test your recipe.
What about spices and salt?
Strong flavors scale nonlinearly. When scaling up, start with less than the calculated amount and adjust to taste.
