Formule
Recommended PSI = base pressure + load adjustment + temperature adjustment (±1 PSI per 10°C from 20°C reference).
Questions fréquemment posées
Why does temperature affect tire pressure?
Tire pressure changes by approximately 1 PSI for every 10°C change in temperature. Cold weather reduces pressure; hot weather increases it.
Should I check pressure when tires are cold or hot?
Always check tire pressure when tires are cold (before driving or after less than 1 mile). Hot tires show higher pressure due to heat expansion.
What PSI is dangerous?
Running 20% or more below recommended pressure is considered significantly underinflated and dangerous. Overinflation above maximum is also unsafe.
