SOFA Score Calculator
Calculate the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score to evaluate organ dysfunction in ICU patients.
How to Use the SOFA Score Calculator
- Select the score (0–4) for each of the 6 organ systems.
- Base scores on the current or worst values during the assessment period.
- Click 'Calculate' to see the total SOFA score and mortality estimate.
Anwendungsfälle
- •Tracking organ dysfunction in ICU patients.
- •Diagnosing sepsis (increase ≥2 from baseline).
- •Predicting ICU mortality.
Formel
SOFA = sum of 6 organ system scores (Respiration, Coagulation, Liver, Cardiovascular, CNS, Renal). Each scored 0–4. Max = 24.

What is the SOFA score?
The Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score is used to track a patient's status during their ICU stay. It evaluates dysfunction in 6 organ systems: respiratory, coagulatory, hepatic, cardiovascular, neurological, and renal.
How is SOFA interpreted?
SOFA 0–6: <10% mortality. SOFA 7–9: 15–20%. SOFA 10–12: 40–50%. SOFA ≥13: >50% mortality. An increase ≥2 points indicates sepsis.
