Timezone conversion uses the IANA timezone database via the Intl.DateTimeFormat API. The converted time accounts for daylight saving time rules automatically.
الأسئلة الشائعة
How does timezone conversion work?
Each timezone has a defined offset from UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). To convert, the tool determines the UTC equivalent of your input time in the source timezone, then formats it in the target timezone. Daylight saving time transitions are handled automatically.
What is UTC?
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks. It does not observe daylight saving time and serves as the reference point from which all other timezones are measured (e.g., EST = UTC-5).
Does this tool handle daylight saving time?
Yes. The converter uses the IANA timezone database (via your browser's Intl API), which includes all current daylight saving time rules. When you convert a time that falls during a DST transition, the offset adjusts automatically.
Why do some timezones show two offsets (e.g., UTC-5/-4)?
Timezones that observe daylight saving time have two offsets: one for standard time and one for DST. For example, US Eastern Time is UTC-5 in winter (EST) and UTC-4 in summer (EDT). The converter always uses the correct offset for the date you enter.
