Perguntas Frequentes

Which life expectancy should I use?
WHO GBD uses an aspirational reference of ~91.9 years (Japan female). National studies may use national life tables instead.
Why YLL instead of raw deaths?
YLL emphasises premature mortality — a 20-year-old and a 90-year-old both count as "1 death" but carry very different public-health burdens.
