Why divide by 5000?
IATA sets the standard dimensional factor for air cargo at 1 kg per 6000 cm³ for bulk and 1 kg per 5000 cm³ for courier/express. This form uses 5000, the stricter courier value.
When does dim weight bite?
Low-density cargo such as apparel, foam, medical supplies or LED displays — the box volume outweighs its mass, so the carrier charges by volume.

No — it is the base airfreight line only. Fuel, security, handling and duties are quoted on top of chargeable weight.
