Litres = distance × (L/100 km) / 100. Cost = litres × price. Cost per km = cost / distance.
Frequently Asked Questions
City or highway consumption?
Use city figures for short urban trips and highway for long motorway drives. Mixed trips sit between the two — the WLTP combined figure is a good default.
Should I include A/C?
Air conditioning adds 5–10% to consumption in hot weather. Bump the L/100 km value if you drive with A/C most of the trip.
EVs?
Replace litres with kWh and price per litre with price per kWh — the division by 100 still applies to kWh/100 km.
