Lund-Browder is more accurate in children because head and limb proportions change with age. This adult version is simplified to full-region marking.

Does TBSA drive fluid resuscitation?

Yes — the Parkland formula uses TBSA × weight × 4 mL as the 24-hour crystalloid requirement. Accurate TBSA is critical to avoid under- or over-resuscitation.
