Microservices Infrastructure Cost Calculator
Estimate monthly CPU and RAM spend for a microservice fleet from service count, per-service resources, uptime hours and unit prices.
How to Use the Microservices Infrastructure Cost Calculator
- Enter the number of services and resources per service.
- Enter hours per month (730 for always-on).
- Enter vCPU-hour and GB-hour prices from your provider.
- Click Calculate.
Anwendungsfälle
- •Cloud budget planning.
- •Comparing Kubernetes vs Fargate.
- •FinOps what-if scenarios.
Formel
Monthly CPU = services × cpu × hours × cpu_price. Monthly RAM = services × ram × hours × ram_price. Total = CPU + RAM.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
Which hourly rate should I use?
Public cloud sheets list Fargate, GKE Autopilot, ACI or EKS rates in vCPU-hour and GB-hour. Reserved capacity typically runs 40–60% cheaper than on-demand.
Why 730 hours per month?
It is the long-run average of 24 hours × 365.25 days / 12. Most cloud billing uses this figure for month-long SKUs.
Does it include network and storage?
No. Add persistent storage, egress, and managed add-ons (queues, observability) separately.
