Häufig gestellte Fragen
Where do I find the power rating?
Check the nameplate label on the back or bottom of the appliance, or the user manual. Larger appliances sometimes list minimum and maximum wattage — use the typical running value.
Does the calculator account for standby?
No. To include standby, add a second calculation using the standby wattage and the hours not actively used.
What tariff should I use?
Use the total rate you pay your electricity supplier, including taxes. If you have day/night tariffs, run the calculation separately for each.
